ABOUT WILLIAM (WILL) NI

Strategic Rigor. Executive Equilibrium.

Over the past two decades, I have navigated the highest levels of corporate complexity. As a Managing Director at PwC, I spent 20+ years advising Fortune 500 leadership teams through large-scale, multi-million-dollar digital and operational transformations. With a CS undergrad from Univ. of Illinois Grainger Engineering, and an MBA from Chicago Booth, my career was defined by building resilient organizations—scaling global operations and supply chains, building the teams that executed enterprise AI strategies, and creating high-stakes accountability for organizations across multiple industry sectors.

But as I advanced along the partner track, I reached a critical inflection point. I realized that the most complex bottlenecks organizations face are rarely technological or financial—they are human. Whether deploying legacy software or navigating the modern friction of AI adoption, the core failure points are always the same. Throughout my corporate tenure, the most impactful and fulfilling work I did wasn’t staring at contracts or building consulting decks; it was mentoring leaders, untangling executive friction, and empowering my peers to operate autonomously, drawing on my experience advising over 60 client organizations, ranging from high-growth startups to the United Nations.

I founded Sound Leadership to bring that exact caliber of strategic advisory directly to high-performing individuals.

The Value I Bring: Systems Thinking Meets Executive Equilibrium

Most ambitious professionals are taught to rely entirely on brute force and acceleration to achieve success. But in high-stakes environments, perpetual force without structural recovery leads to operational drag and depleted bandwidth. As behavioral science consistently shows, elite performers don’t rely on isolated grit—they actively engineer their environment and seek external sounding boards.

In working closely with my peers at PwC and across my professional network, I discovered a profound shift occurs when leaders apply the same systems-thinking we use in technology and business to their own lives. My advisory practice bridges Fortune 500 strategic architecture with the principles of dynamic equilibrium—aligning intense ambition with intentional, thoughtful stillness, and operational scale with sustainable flow.

Through The F6 Ethos™, I help clients establish systemic alignment across the six core dimensions of their lives: Fulfillment, Fuel, Flow, Finances, Family, and Friendships.

I do not offer generic career coaching. I serve as a confidential, peer-level strategic partner, working across two distinct tracks:

For Enterprise Executives: I help C-suite leaders and senior directors overcome top-of-house isolation, navigate board dynamics, and reclaim 10–15 hours of weekly cognitive bandwidth by establishing ruthless decision architecture.

For Founders & Business Owners: I help regional and local founders transition from exhausted "Chief Operators" into high-leverage Chief Executives by installing clear delegation rights and operating cadences.

The Outcome

Whether you are leading a corporate division or scaling a regional business, the goal is the same: stop the daily firefighting, eliminate operational triage, and restore the bandwidth you need to lead a deeply fulfilled life.
